Open source & local communities

Open Seattle advocates for open data and civic technology projects that improve the lives of Seattle residents.
We host monthly meetups where members pitch and work on projects, and build relationships between tech workers, community groups, and local government.

Projects

  • Democracy Lab

Make Tech. Do Good. We connect tech-for-good projects with skilled volunteers and socially responsible companies.

  • Council Data Project

An entirely free and open application to make it easier to follow your local municipality's council action.

  • Conviction Vacation Project

Reducing barriers faced by formerly incarcerated individuals by streamlining process of vacating eligible convictions in Washington state.
